Instagram Guides are being rolled out to all accounts, so here’s what you know to be prepared for the latest feature!
I first noticed IG Guides a few months back. They were focused around mental health, wellness, and overall wellbeing.
Since then, I’ve been patiently waiting for this new feature to roll out. Think of the possibilities!
What are Instagram Guides?
First off, let’s figure out what this new update is all about.
Instagram has said Guides “are a way to more easily discover a way to more easily discover recommendations, tips and other content from your favorite creators, public figures, organizations and publishers on Instagram.”
Basically, they’re a curated collection of posts pulled into a scrollable feed. You can create Guides by pulling from previously posted content or saved content. You can also create Guides for Places and Products!
How to Find Guides on Instagram
To view a Guide, head to your favorite content creator then tap the icon to view their Guide. Soon, we’ll be able to access Guides in the Explore tab!
They somewhat resemble a blog post with an intro/descriptions, images, and captions. Users can click on images that will take them to the original post
How Do I Create an IG Guide?
To start creating Instagram Guides, brainstorm some ideas that will be useful for your audience. Find some thought-starters below!
Once you’re ready to create your Guide, click on the + button at the top of your profile, and select Guide. From there, determine the type of Guide, then start curating.
Tip: You can only add up to 30 posts in a single Guide
